Calagin calcium alginate dressing is an effective, natural blood-stanching (hemostatic) agent used in wound care. It works by releasing calcium ions, which interact with the blood to accelerate the clotting process, while also forming a gel that seals the wound. Due to its ability to form a gel-like seal, it reduces blood loss, adheres gently (not sticking to the wound), and is easily removed without causing further bleeding.It is ideal for moderate-to-heavy, minor-to-moderate bleeding wounds, such as donor sites, surgical wounds, and chronic, draining wounds. Available as pads, or ropes (for packing deeper cavities).
